Lancing College takes over its second preparatory school !
From 2014, Lancing College will be offering further opportunities to children from 2-13 years of age when it takes over the former Broadwater Manor School, a well-established school with excellent facilities.
Lancing College Preparatory School at Worthing will offer an environment where every child’s potential will be realised, following on from the high standards and qualities developed by the retiring Head, Mrs Kim Woodley. The school has been run by her family for over fifty years with great distinction and affection.
Love of learning is vitally important and this school provides a lively curriculum, where children are encouraged to try new activities and broaden their horizons. It is a co-educational day school with a Christian foundation, which fosters pupils’ intellectual, cultural, physical, moral and spiritual development, and where parents are kept fully informed about their child’s progress.
The Revd Roger Marsh was, until recently, a valued Chaplain of Lancing College, a role which he carried out for ten years. He will be acting Head Master for the remainder of the current academic year. He and his wife Eileen will continue to provide the warm atmosphere of a highly professional, yet family run institution. Both have extensive experience of prep school life, as Roger Marsh’s previous headships include very successful periods at Ardingly College Prep and St George’s Windsor Castle. Roger and Eileen Marsh are both greatly looking forward to the two terms they will spend at Lancing Prep at Worthing.
The highly successful Lancing College Prep at Hove is very well established and many pupils continue their education at Lancing College. By taking over a prep school in Worthing, Lancing College will be extending its teaching opportunities and ethos to young children in a new catchment area of Sussex.
