Abbotsholme pupils – and future pupils – in Year 5, 6 and 7 enjoyed a day at the Gateway Centre Derbyshire Cricket Training Centre with Alistair Cook, current England Cricket Captain, organised by the Yorkshire bank.
Alistair, along with two other Derbyshire coaches helped pupils with a batting master class during the day which began with a Presentation and Q&A session.
Outstanding Performance of the Day went to Lucy Yates (currently Year 6 who is starting at Abbotholme in September) who received Alistair’s own bat with his signature! Two other miniature signed bats went to Harrison Dodd and Toby Hall.
