Abbotsholme_prep_NSPCCAbbotsholme Prep School presented Mrs Sharpe, a representative of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, with a cheque for £2,250.

This incredible sum of money was raised with lots of sponsorship of various activities including  the running of laps by Reception, completing an indoor special course of tunnels and maps and bean bag throwing, penalty shoot outs, netball shooting and indoor circuits which even included Mrs Shermer the Prep School Headteacher.

The children really got behind this charity activity following a visit by the NSPCC a few weeks ago.

Mrs Shermer, Headteacher of Abbotsholme Prep School said, “This is a great achievement by the Prep School, which was enabled by the hard word of some of our Sixth Form boys who gave up their time to organise, participate and encourage each child in every event.”

“Thanks to Mrs Webber for all her help with the challenge; it has been a fantastic team achievement with the help and support of staff, parents and pupils.”
