Burgess Hill School Sixth Form Leavers BallBurgess Hill School for Girls’ Sixth Form students and staff made a glamorous entrance to Jeremy’s Restaurant in Borde Hill Garden to celebrate the year’s fantastic achievements.

With the theme of ‘Old Hollywood Glamour’, elegant cocktails, glittery dresses and Frank Sinatra were the order of the evening. Guests were greeted in the garden with Pimms and delicious canapés whilst enjoying the last rays of the evening sun.

Laughter and excitement filled the marquee over dinner, which was lit up with pink lights and decorated with ostrich feathers, pearls and diamonds.

At 8 o’clock the red carpet was rolled out and the photo booth opened; girls and staff alike queued up to take the most hilarious photos with silly props and accessories!

After a mouth-watering dessert of Eton Mess, Mr Dyson, Head of Sixth Form, and Mrs Bell, Head, made emotional speeches, and the School Officer team presented a video of their funniest moments in the Sixth Form.

When the clock struck 10pm, the party got underway and everyone piled onto the dance floor to chant the lyrics to the hits of S Club 7 under the colourful disco lights. At midnight, the guests left with party favours from the Cuckfield Candy Store and the biggest smiles on their faces. Everyone agreed it was a very special evening, and the perfect way to end many happy years at the school.
