Junior School Carol Service
Year 5 and 6 students at Burgess Hill School for Girls performed a carefully chosen collection of modern and traditional carols at St John’s Church on 2nd December. After a moving candle-lit procession, readers from Year 6 delivered the nine lessons with confidence and reverence. Following a stunning opening solo of ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, the choir sang with an impressive purity of sound. The Carol Concert reminded the congregation of the true meaning of Christmas with moving honesty.
Junior School Choir Carol Recording to be broadcast on Christmas Day
Burgess Hill School for Girls is delighted to announce that a recording of their Junior School Choir (Years 5 & 6) singing ‘Ding Dong Merrily on High’ will be broadcast on Christmas Day at 8.25am on BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey radio!! The school community is incredibly proud of the girls and Junior School music teacher, Mrs Playford.
