Dollar Academy Junior school rugby players were treated to a coaching session by ex-Samoa international Freddie Tuilagi on Saturday 4th February.
Freddie captivated the youngsters attention with coaching drills that focused on basic skills, in what proved to be an inspiring morning of rugby training for the young players.
This is the third time in recent months that Dollar pupils have been visited by world class rugby professionals, following the visits last term of Scottish rugby legends Chris Paterson and Gregor Townsend to conduct coaching clinics.
Head of PE, Mr Steve Newton, commented: “Our pupils were delighted to have Freddie Tuilagi take them for a Saturday morning training session. He commanded instant respect from the boys and his coaching was very effective. We are incredibly lucky to be in a position where our pupils can benefit from this access to professional sports-stars, and we thank Freddie very much for his time spent with us.”
