It’s that time of the year again, where we announce the winner of our GCSE Jumping for Joy competition. This year, the GCSE students gave the A Level pupils a run for their money and performed countless awe-inspiring leaps in the hope of winning a £50 Amazon voucher and the title of Jumping for Joy Champion 2015.

Competition was tight this year and judges marked the entries against the following criteria:

  • Height of jump
  • Smile/grin whilst jumping
  • Holding results paper whilst jumping
  • Number of limbs involved and angle of leg bends
  • Arm(s) raised/and or fist pump
  • Originality

After days of intense discussion, our judges selected the following winners:

The 2015 GCSE Jumping for Joy Champion

Windermere School 1 before
Windermere School

Our GCSE winner is Beth from Windermere School, who showed fantastic commitment by jumping fully clothed into Lake Windermere! She leapt into the lake along with Deputy Head (Academic) Mr Stewart King in an impressive show of bravery.

We would like to applaud both Beth and Mr King for their dedication and wish Beth all the best for the future.
