King Edward’s Witley Celebrates 10 Years Of The IB Diploma

A celebration to mark the 10th anniversary of the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) running at King Edward’s Witley took place on Saturday 27th September 2014.

The event saw Alumni of the programme from both the UK and overseas congregate at the School for a special drinks reception and dinner, followed by dancing and entertainment.

The celebrations follow the announcement that King Edward’s Witley has been presented with an Award for by Best Schools UK which ranks it in the Top 10 all-IB schools in the country.  It also takes place in the year which witnessed a 100% pass rate amongst pupils, with an impressive 75% of grades at the equivalent to A-level A*-B grades.

Commenting on the event, Headmaster John Attwater says “We are delighted to welcome back former pupils from all over the world who join us to celebrate this important milestone.  Thanks to their efforts, and those of our staff, King Edward’s has built up an enviable reputation for success with the IB programme and become one of the top co-educational schools in the country to offer the programme.  Our former students are now demonstrating in their professional lives what a superb preparation for university and the workplace the IB is, equipping them with all they need to compete in an increasingly global society”.
