Lancing College: Another Year of Outstanding A Level Results

Lancing College A level resultsLancing College has once agan acheived excellent examination results which further reinforce Lancing’s strong reputation for consistent high achievement, year-on-year, and very strong value-added at A Level:

• 36 candidates (31.3%) achieved at least 3 A grades. 20 candidates achieved at least 4 As, and 6 achieved at least 5 As.
• 43 candidates (37.4%) achieved at least 1 A* grade. 19 candidates achieved at least 2 A*s, 6 achieved at least 3 A*s, 4 achieved at least 4 A*s and 2 candidates achieved a clean sweep of 5 A*s.
• 20% of A Levels taken were graded A*.
• 53% of A Levels taken were graded A* or A.
• Lancing’s average of A*-B grades for the last ten years is 82.3%.
• The average UCAS points score for our leavers was 381 which equates to grades A*AA.

The Head Master, Mr Jonathan Gillespie, comments:

"I congratulate our students on their splendid achievements at A Level. Our Sixth Formers have gained outstanding results in a wide range of the most challenging academic subjects, and they will now go on to study at elite universities both in the UK and further afield.

These grades represent the culmination of much hard work and enthusiasm on the part of our students who have been encouraged throughout their time at Lancing by inspirational staff.

A Lancing education combines academic studies with exciting opportunities beyond the curriculum, so that all pupils can develop wide-ranging skills and embrace new challenges which unlock their full potential and which enable them to embark with confidence on their future paths.

• Jasmine Sham from Hong Kong has gained 2 A*s and 3 As and will read Actuarial Science at LSE
• Philipp Schroeter from Germany has achieved 2 A*s and 2 As and is planning to study medicine at the University of Heidelberg
• Molly McMorrow from Worthing has achieved 2 A*s and 1 A and will read History at Bristol
• David Millar from Findon has achieved 2 A*s and 1 A and will read History at Bristol
• Hannah Richardson from Lancing has gained 2 A*s and 1 A
• Harri Morgan-Williams from Lancing has gained 2 A*s and 1 A and will read Law at KCL
• James Wardle from Herstmonceux has gained 2 A*s and 2 As and will read Economics and Modern History at St Andrew’s
