Lancing College Prep has the enviable reputation of succeeding as a splendid academic school, without becoming an 
academic hot-house.
Each pupil can take full advantage of a wide range of subjects and also exciting activities, beyond the curriculum, that make for a rounded education enabling all the children to fulfil their potential.
This year’s academic scholarship results are outstanding. All the Lancing College Prep scholars passed the challenging scholarship exams (generally accepted to be GCSE equivalent) with flying colours.
Lancing College Prep also has six academic scholarships and two academic exhibitions to Senior schools, from this group of 30 pupils. Samuel Banfield, Matthew Davies, Alexander Gillespie, Philip Hartfield, Aloysius Watkins and Russell Woodger have all gained academic scholarships.
When these results are added to the non-academic awards already won, a total of twenty one pupils will be leaving with an award of some description.
Pupils in the final year of Lancing College Prep have also won scholarships and awards in Art, Drama, Sport and as All Rounders, which confirms the fact that Lancing College Prep is a school where success is achieved in all areas of the curriculum.
An ‘Outstanding School’
The latest ISI inspection report stated that 'Lancing College Preparatory School meets its aims outstandingly well. It does this by achieving high quality in every aspect of what it provides'.
The Lancing College Prep community is like an enlarged family, where good manners, consideration for others and a sense of the needs of the community as a whole are of great importance.
Lancing College Prep is a co-educational independent Nursery, Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory School for about 200 children aged 3 to 13 years. It has excellent facilities.
In addition to a dedicated IT Room, each classroom has its own computer and there is a well-equipped Science Laboratory, Technology Room and an attractive Library and Reading Room.
Spacious sports fields surround the School, with pitches for all the main games and sports, including an all-weather Astroturf area.
