Plymouth College is the top school in the area for value-added in a Key Stage 5 league table published by the Department for Education.

The independent school, which is non-selective, achieved a value-added score of 0.21 for Academic Progress. This is the highest score out of all the schools in the local area, including the three grammar schools and the other independent schools.

Commenting on the Key Stage 5 results Plymouth College Headmaster, Jonathan Standen, said: “These are a fabulous set of results and reflect the great university destinations achieved by our students last year.  Our Sixth Form value-added score is the best in the area by far, a fantastic achievement for a non-selective school.  It is a real testament to our inspired and highly-effective teaching that gives our students the right environment in which to progress as much as they possibly can.”
