Despite a bitterly cold day a group of our QE equestrians did us proud last month in an Arena Event at 
Northallerton.
The competition involved riding a dressage test then jumping both show and cross country style fences, with some fairly stiff competition to boot!
Our students dominated the leader board in the Class 3 category with Elisa Leetz and Karthago taking 1st place, Galina Andreeva riding QE's Pride of the Glenn in 2nd, Alina Manskaia riding her own horse Charlie Brown taking 4th, Leila Gilding riding Murphy's Crackerjack in 7th and Ileana Tutykhina riding Rosie in 8th place (shown in the photo).
In Class 4C Galina shared 1st place with another rider while Ileana took 5th. Also riding Knocktopher Bob was Ellie Whittle who came 6th in Class 5 – with horse and rider having to battle some blizzard conditions with poor visibility. It might have been a long and chilly day but the riders returned to school smiling with great enthusiasm for the next trip out.
