Charlotte Cohen and Fennel Tse

Congratulations to Charlotte Cohen and Fennel Tse from Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick, York who have secured offers at Oxford and Cambridge.

Amid mounting competition for top university places and the toughening up of entry requirements, it is a superb achievement to receive an offer from Oxbridge. After smoothly navigating an extremely challenging admissions process Charlotte has received an offer to study History at University College, Oxford and Fennel has received an offer to study Engineering at Churchill College, Cambridge.

Mrs Carole Cameron, Acting Head of Queen Margaret’s School, is delighted: “The school is extremely proud of Charlotte and Fennel. They have both shown longstanding dedication to their academic subjects and developed an enthusiasm for independent thought, learning and social awareness.

It is extremely important for all students to be fully prepared for the rigorous UCAS admissions process. Here at Queen Margaret’s our dedicated team offers a range of activities including weekly debates on topical issues, group discussions, presentations and a series of mock interviews to ensure the girls achieve excellence both inside and outside the classroom.”

Congratulations must also go to other equally talented UVI girls at Queen Margaret’s School who have secured offers at top universities including Exeter, UCL, St Andrews and Durham.
