RatcliffeA recent refurbishment of Boys’ Boarding facilities for pupils in Years 6-11 has taken place at Ratcliffe College.

Two wings have been overhauled and themed in local sporting clubs and are now known as the Tigers’ and Foxes’ area of boarding.

Corresponding colours have been used to maintain the theme in communal areas such as the common rooms, halls and boys’ bedrooms.

Each room has state-of-the-art furnishings that exceed the ‘Minimum standards for boarding’ and boys have access to Wi-Fi, Sky TV and a variety of gaming consoles.

Each boy also has access to a kitchen for the preparation of snacks and drinks.

Old Ratcliffian Louis Deacon, current Leicester Tigers captain, who recalls boarding at Ratcliffe College with great fondness, returned to his alma mater to officially open the new facilities and commented upon how he “would have loved to be a boarder again with these facilities!”
