Rugby players at Sibford School near Banbury, Oxfordshire, have received a major boost thanks to sponsorship from estate agents, Savills.
The property specialists have provided jackets for the first and second senior teams and are also sponsoring the annual Sibford Sevens rugby competition which this year will take place across two weeks.
Nicholas Rudge from Savills said: “As a business we are very keen to support local schools and we are delighted to be adding our support to Sibford’s rugby players and to the annual sevens tournament.”
More than 20 schools from Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire are expected to compete in the Sibford Sevens.
Now in it’s 15th year, the tournament was originally a one-day event. In 2012 the competition was expanded to three days, and this year it will be spread over five days (12th – 14th March, 19th March and 21st March) and feature six pitches.
In addition to Savills, the tournament is also supported by London Wasps.
