For this year’s Comic Relief Warminster School held a charity Mufti Day. Pupils and staff were invited to come to Warminster School Red Nose Dayschool dressed in something red to help celebrate and raise awareness of the day. All participating pupils and staff were asked to make a £1 donation to Comic Relief.

During lunchtime, an array of attractive stalls were set out in the School House Courtyard, all with strong fund-raising appeal… There were mouth-watering cakes on sale, freshly made pancakes and doughnuts.

Pupils were also invited to ‘Pin the red nose on James’ or to have a go at hula-hooping. An arm-wrestling competition proved extremely popular, with pupils queuing up to arm-wrestle with Mr Jack Steadman of the Sports Department. Even Mrs Terri Wilcox, Head of Pastoral Care, took up the challenge……

In the Sports Hall members of staff and pupils played a 3-part Charity Volley Ball match: first the pupils take on the teachers; this was followed by a game with mixed teams and finally a match with boys versus girls.

It has been voted a highly successful day. Both pupils and staff of Warminster School thoroughly enjoyed taking part and at the same time helping to raise money for a worthwhile cause. Warminster School
