The Culverhouse Build is showing great progress with the steel frames being erected during half term. The warminster school culverhouse count downdate for completion of the multi-purpose Hall, which will provide invaluable facilities to the School, is November 8th 2013, just 260 days from now!

This exciting new development, located at the heart of the senior school, will provide a Hall which has been designed to ensure maximum usage and flexibility and is as large as the planners would allow on this historic site.

Large enough to accommodate 182 seats in raked staging, it will also provide additional flexible space for further seating depending on the format of the event.

The Hall will provide a much-needed, multi-purpose space in which students can enjoy lectures, perform in small productions, give concerts and undertake examinations. It is also hoped that the space will provide a venue for use of the wider school community and local town.

All in all, this project promises an exciting enhancement of our school’s facilities, increasing further the already enviable range of opportunities available to our students.

The school’s Governors have authorised expenditure of £1.2million to cover Phase 1, the basic fabric of the building.

In due course we will be asking if parents and Old Verlucians would like to contribute to the facilities to be housed within the Hall.

I do hope those with a strong association to the school will consider making a financial contribution. In true Warminster School style, we hope that parents and students past and present will want to work together to help provide the best possible facility for the use of current pupils and for the use of future generations.
