Over 30 pre-schoolers, their parents and grandparents packed the hall at Wellington Prep School to mark the first birthday of the Little Wellies Toddler Group.
Babies and toddlers from all over the local area enjoyed a fun-filled morning playing in tents and making the most of the outdoor sand and water activities as well as colouring, looking at books and building train tracks.
Dads, Mums and Grandparents took the chance to catch up after the long summer holidays over a cup of coffee and homemade cake.
At the end of the session, the children sang ‘Happy Birthday’ and took home cupcakes with a tiny pair of blue wellies on the top, provided by the school’s favourite cake-maker, Granny Kibble.
Little Wellies Toddler Group takes place every Thursday in term time in the Wellington Prep School Hall from 9.15am to 11.15am.
