“My time at School House and Ashby School has changed my life, turning me into a responsible independent young adult. It is more like a home than a boarding school. We are a big international family. Joining this school has turned out to be one of the best things that has happened to me.

Coming here, I feel that I have had a better chance at a decent education. I am happy at school and am properly motivated and challenged to do my best and to achieve highly.

Being Deputy Head Boy here has given me a number of opportunities to shine and to aid other boarders. It has also given me the opportunity to develop leadership skills.

The boarding residence looks just like a real home but larger. The food is not what I expected at all, there is a variety of different tasty and healthy meals, including home made puddings. We all eat together as a family in our own Dining Room.

I shall leave School House at the end of this year for University, but will never forget the experiences and lessons it has taught me. I will still come back and visit my second home – School House.”

“I have been at School House for two years and enjoy all that it has to offer. Staff are helpful and supportive and work hard to create a positive environment.

I am currently in a dormitory with other boys, which I do enjoy but I am really looking forward to the completion of the amazing extension which is almost complete and will give me the opportunity of living in single or twin room, which is perfect for when I start sixth form.

The catering at the boarding residence is always varied and the introduction of the new kitchen and dining room facilities has created an even higher standard, which I did not think was possible.

Staff at School House supervise prep each evening which all students attend. This is especially helpful since Housemasters are on hand to provide support. More importantly there are no distractions stopping me from completing my work or revision which I used to experience at home.

The greatest thing that School House has offered me is stability and support, allowing me to become better organised and achieve to the best of my abilities. At my last school I was underachieving and the opportunity of gaining a 6th Form place would not have been possible. Now I am consistently achieving A* in my examinations and am well on target for gaining a sixth form place next year.”
