Etherton Education runs academic summer courses to prepare overseas students for British education. These courses, at Wellington School, are suitable for students who want to come to study GCSE or A-level in a British boarding school, or who just want a taste of a British boarding school.
You will improve your English, study all the main academic subjects, and get over culture shock. Many of our former students now study at Oxford, Cambridge and other top British universities. The key to success is to be well prepared!

Academic Focus
Our Pre-A-Level Course is for students who are coming to join Year 12 to study for A-levels in Britain in September. Our Pre-GCSE Courses are for students coming to join Years 9 or 10 in British schools, or to take one-year GCSEs in September. Students can choose to come for four weeks, for eight weeks or for nine weeks.
Our course includes:
• over 50 staff to look after you
• intensive English language study
• studying all your academic subjects in English
• practical laboratory work in sciences
• qualified British teachers
• friendly British Student Hosts
• a full boarding school life
• cultural trips every week and English sports and clubs
• fashion show, drama show, and many more!
• help to get over ‘culture shock’
• preparation for Oxford and Cambridge.
The nine-week course also includes one full week in London at the beginning (visiting all the major sights and top universities).

8 weeks in Wellington School, Somerset, in the countryside.

Why Etherton Education?
We founded Etherton Education in 2002 because we know how difficult it is for overseas students when they first come to Britain. We wanted to design a Summer Course which would really look after them well, and provide an excellent bridge to their new education in the UK. As a result, our Summer Course is unique.
