For overseas children looking to improve their English, or UK children who want to experience the fun of a UK boarding school environment, St John’s   International School Summer and Easter Camps offer a choice of full residential courses or day programmes.

All Summer and Easter Camps take place at St John’s International School, Sidmouth, a co-educational independent school situated in the wonderful Devon countryside overlooking the sea in Sidmouth. The School benefits from extensive grounds and playing fields, a heated swimming pool, indoor  sports hall, adventure playground and tennis courts, all located in this safe, Edwardian seaside town. All camp courses make the very most of these  acilities, with the programme including indoor activities such as drama and art combined with the widest choice of outdoor sports and activities including cricket, swimming, tennis, hockey and soccer.

The children take part in a packed and varied diary of weekend visits and activities which make the most of the local attractions we have on our  doorstep including fossil hunting on the beautiful Jurassic Coast, visiting historic sites, walking the coastline, hiking on Dartmoor and Exmoor or  experiencing our world-famous Devon Cream Teas.

Summer and Easter Camp course details
St John’s International School Easter Camps run in April, and Summer Camps run in July and August, for international students aged 7–16 years old.  Camps are run on a weekly basis, but for those looking for a longer stay, one or more weeks can be booked. For international students the camps are  fully residential.

For overseas children, English language lessons form part of every day, with the additional benefit of the complete immersion of your child in an English-speaking environment. With 18 hours of classroom time per week, all students have the benefit of a well-balanced academic and leisure programme.

Pastoral care
At St John’s International School, we place great emphasis on the pastoral care given to our children. We are very aware that they are young and many  of them may be away from home on their own for the first time. Our dedicated on-site staff are there to help make a fun, safe and memorable  Summer/Easter Camp experience for your children.
