Summer Language School
The Summer Language School at Stonyhurst College offers two week courses in 2011 for students aged between 11 and 15 years to help
them improve their English. The course is for all standards, from beginners to the more advanced, with each student’s level of English being assessed
on arrival and the teaching tailored to the needs of individual students.

4 hours a day of lessons plus activities and opportunities.

Small class sizes – average 10 pupils to each tutor.

All activities will take place in Englishto aid learning, increase confidence and interaction.

Themed days and a full activity programme to engage the children –sporting facilities include all weather pitch, swimming pool, tennis courts, football, cricket, 9 hole golf course etc. Programme includes days out to such places as the Lake District and Manchester United.

Opportunities for prayer and attendance at Sunday mass.

Strong and involved supervision,including review to ensure all children are fully engaged and enjoy their learning experience.
