In 2023, Ashford School is celebrating it’s 125th year. We are proud of what
our school has achieved and what makes Ashford School the unique learning

About the School
Ashford School provides education from 3 months to 18 years. An HMC
independent day and boarding school set across two spacious campuses
in Ashford, Kent. The Senior School is within five minutes’ walk of Ashford
International station and the Prep School is in the delightful village of
Great Chart just two miles west of Ashford. The London airports Heathrow,
Gatwick and City and are all within easy reach (around an hour’s drive).
Transport links are exceptional; the High-Speed Rail Link connects us to
London in just 37 minutes and puts us on the doorstep to the continent.
We offer flexi, weekly and full boarding from age 10, making the London
commute an option.

Our Specialist Facilities
Our extensive sporting facilities include a sports centre and pavilion, two
indoor swimming pools, all-weather pitches for hockey, football, netball and
tennis, all-weather basketball and tennis courts, fitness suite, playing fields for
cricket, football and rugby. Our students benefit from specialist art and design
technology studios, ICT and science labs, a well-stocked library, student café
and atrium, dining hall, pupil common rooms, an auditorium and theatre, and
a music school with several performance areas. We are proud to be one of only
16 all-Steinway Schools, meaning our Senior School music department has
only Steinway pianos.
Boarding
We are proud of our diverse school and boarding community, made up
of international students from more than 30 different countries. Around
110 boarders from around the world immerse themselves into a truly
British education experience. Our students learn to live and work together,
developing deep and lasting friendships along the way.

Our boarding houses are located within grounds of over 25 acres and
accommodate boys and girls from 10-18 years. Students benefit from shared
rooms for two or three children, or individual study-bedrooms with en-suite
bathrooms for older pupils. With no lessons on Saturdays, students make
use of the School facilities, participate fully in Saturday sporting fixtures and
enjoy our weekend activity programme. We also understand the needs of
our international families, and therefore have no exeats
