ABBOTSHOLME SCHOOL RECEIVES ‘EXEMPLARY’ RESULTS

Abbotshole school inspectionHaving just received the results of its inspection by ISI (the Independent Schools Inspectorate), conducted in May, Abbotsholme School has plenty of reasons to celebrate.

The ISI found that "Abbotsholme is exceptionally successful in achieving its aims" and that "pupils are empowered to find success. Achievement is excellent." ISI expressed admiration for the pupils' personal development, describing it as " exemplary", and noting that "pupils embrace wholeheartedly the school's aspirations of courage, honesty, humility, integrity and respect".

ISI management of the school was also commended.
"Excellent governance gives firm foundation to the school's ethos and quality of provision. Excellent leadership brings unfailing inspiration to the daily life of the school". Links with parents were regarded as being "outstanding".

Headmaster Steve Fairclough was gratified by the high praise offered by ISI.
"We know that we have a happy, successful school in Abbotsholme, but it is extremely rewarding to receive such plaudits from ISI, based upon their thorough inspection of the school. We were especially pleased to be given recognition for our pastoral care, which was described as excellent. Abbotsholme was graded as outstanding in 7 out of the 8 categories, with one category being good.
