Abbots_Bromley_Doctors_soapAbbots Bromley School welcomed Daniel Klarfeld and Nathan Wright from the popular TV programme Doctors into school last week, as guest judges in their very competitive House performing arts competition.

All six houses from the senior school took part in an excellent afternoon’s entertainment watched by enthusiastic and highly amused parents, friends and staff, as well as the children of the Preparatory School. The standard of the competition was extremely high indeed as each house presented its own interpretation of the theme “140 years of Abbots Bromley School”.

Abbots Bromley School’s Executive Head, Mrs Victoria Musgrave was joined on the judging panel by Nathan Wright who currently plays Chris Reid, one of the Principal Cast Members of Doctors and David Klarfeld who is currently Production Coordinator on Doctors and has worked on some well-known TV shows in his 21 year career such as Blue Peter, Coronation Street, Casualty and Hollyoaks.

Each house produced a fabulous twenty minute slot filled with comedy, dance, singing and acting of the highest standard. It was an exciting chance for the pupils to showcase their enormous talent in front of experts from the theatre business. Each unique take of the theme was very cleverly done and a great reminder of the long history of Abbots Bromley School as it celebrates its 140th Anniversary Year.

Finally, the overall prize went to a delighted Coleridge House for their ‘fantastic, amusing and very slick performance of ‘The Apprentice AB Style’.
