Jessica Gundry, a Sixth Form student at Wellington School, took third place in the women’s epee fencing competition at the Sainsbury’s UK Schools Games last week.
The Sixth Former, who is the current British Youth U18 epee Champion, also helped the English fencing team to first place ahead of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Jade Clarke, also in the Sixth Form, produced another outstanding result, this time fencing her way to second in the South West Championships.
