The Governors and Heads of  Abbots Bromley School and Lichfield Cathedral School are delighted to announce a new collaborative venture between the two schools.

First, a Sixth Form partnership will begin in September 2014, enabling both schools to offer a wider choice of subjects by coordinating their curricula.  Each school offers courses not available at the other, so this partnership will provide students with a wider range of post 16 options.  Second, Abbots Bromley will make its sports and cultural facilities available for use by Lichfield Cathedral School students.

Victoria Musgrave, Executive Head of Abbots Bromley School, expressed her delight: “This is an exciting collaboration that builds on the strengths of both our schools and provides young people in Staffordshire with inspirational new possibilities for Sixth Form.”

David Corran, Headmaster of Lichfield Cathedral School, agreed: ”This is a bold and creative initiative for Sixth Form, combining the skills and experience of both schools, and all students stand to gain a great deal.  This is not a merger of the two schools; this is simply an irresistible opportunity to share facilities and expertise to the benefit of all.

“Our two schools share a common vision of the Christian values embedded in learning and teaching, values that help us to create a challenging, nurturing and supportive school environment focused on helping each child to fulfil their potential.”
