Abbots_Bromley_Tussell_TrustHarvest Festival this year at Abbots Bromley School was celebrated in traditional AB style with a beautiful Service led by the School Chaplain, and music from the school’s elite choir, Cantoria.

Harvest gifts in beautifully decorated boxes were donated by every pupil in the Preparatory School whilst the Senior School pupils made larger hampers filled with donated non-perishable goods.

This year Abbots Bromley School has focused on supporting our local community, with gifts being donated to a very worthwhile cause, The Trussell Trust’s food bank in Rugeley. Two members of the Trussell Trust attended the service to accept the gifts from the pupils and later on Sixth Formers and staff from the school personally delivered all the donated gifts to the Rugeley food bank.

Deputy Head, Ann Johnson. “It is important for all our pupils, who are aged from 3 years old to 18 years old, to have a well-developed understanding of our local community and how important food banks are. We are all delighted to be able to make a difference to local people.”

The Trussell Trust food banks give emergency food to local people in crisis and during the last 12 months they have helped almost 350,000 people receive at least three days emergency food.
