Before the service, the Colonel of the Regiment,

HRH Prince Charles

met the Welsh cadets. He is pictured here with the cadets from Aldenham and Queen’s School before they and their officers marched to the Cenotaph where His Royal Highness presented the Regimental wreath.

At the same time other members of the partnership CCF took part in the annual Remembrance Day service in Letchmore Heath where the Aldenham School brass band provided the music and the Headmaster laid a wreath on behalf of the School.

The service was led by Rev’d Robert Fletcher, Vicar of St John the Baptist Church in Aldenham, School Chaplain Rev’d Dan Bond and Srutidharma Das the Krishna Temple President from Bhaktivedanta Manor who led the prayers.

Aldenham’s partnership with Queens’ School began in November 2008, and is one of only six partnerships in the London area giving cadets from a state school the opportunity to participate in CCF activities with a local independent School.
On 11th November the bell was rung 288 times at the Remembrance Day Service in the School Chapel as a tribute to the 288 Old Aldenhamians who had perished in past conflicts.
