This year we decided to create a whole week of fundraising activities to which all students could participate and help raise money towards Sport Relief. We set ourselves a high target of £1000 and set up 20 different activities for all students and staff to get involved. During the week there were after school activities and competitions, charity sport games during PE and on the Friday 23rd March we had an afternoon of games and activities.

Throughout the week we took part in a number of sports and activities to raise money for Sport Relief. Below are a few that went incredibly well and helped us reach our target;

Badminton, Tag Rugby, Table Tennis, Football, Tennis, Sunrise Run, Counter Strike Tournament,
Non -Uniform Day, Head of Sport for a day, Staff Dressing up in Costumes!…

Friday was a sunny day and the students and staff completed a Sport Relief Mile, some in costumes and some wearing their Sport Relief T-shirts. After the Mile students were given the opportunity to throw wet sponges at the Principal and the Head of Boarding for a donation toward Sport Relief! There were also sprinting contests and a Silly Billy Olympics.

The whole week was a great success with almost all students taking part and together with some parental contributions we comfortably reached our target and in fact went well beyond. We are also grateful to our Director, Mr Ben Toettcher who agreed to double any amount raised. So, thanks to all the students and staff who raised money and to those who donated on the website and to all who took part in the Sport Relief effort to raise not just money but the awareness of why we do charity events such as these.

Our final contribution to Sport Relief was an amazing £2,444.34
