Friday night saw the laMoreton Hall Alistair Mcgowan Appealunch of Moreton Halls' Centenary Appeal with a black tie dinner and dance and guest speaker Alistair McGowan, comedian and impersonator.

"Alistair McGowan very kindly helped us to launch this appeal with a superbly witty and clever performance", explains Foundation Director, Katy Tanner. "He performed to a rapt audience of over 200 parents, Old Moretonians and friends of the school. It was a truly fabulous evening which has kick-started our appeal with many generous donations."

"The Centenary Appeal will fund a new £2m science centre and medical science faculty with the aim of further promoting the inspiring science being taught at Moreton", explains Principal, Jonathan Forster. "We plan to have the new Science Centre completed by the end of the Centenary year in 2013/14.

The facility will create an exciting forum for our pupils to meet and work alongside pioneering medical professionals from all backgrounds: researchers, doctors, surgeons, dentists and vets. We also look forward to making it available to other local schools in Shropshire."
