All Hallows Prep School has announced that three of its former pupils have been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge University for September 2018.

Ollii Neilson and Kitty Mant, who left the school in 2013, and Isabelle Weir who left in 2012 all went on to study at local senior schools.

Olii Neilson has been offered a place to study Earth Sciences at St Anne’s College, Oxford. Olii is currently at Downside school where he is studying for his A levels in Chemistry, Maths and Physics.

Kitty Mant is currently Head Girl at Kings Bruton where she is studying English, History and Latin at A level. Kitty has been offered a place to read History at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.

Isabelle Weir from Ditcheat, is currently working at All Hallows’ as a gap student, where she is proving invaluable helping out in the Art Department, Forest School, and in the boarding house. Isabelle was Head Girl at All Hallows and went on to Millfield School where she studied Art, Greek and Latin at A level. Isabelle and Kitty are also cousins, so there is great family excitement about the cousins from Somerset going to Cambridge.

Dr Trevor Richards, Head at All Hallows School said: “I am immensely proud of all the All Hallows’ alumni and to have been part of everyone’s journey, but we are particularly celebrating the success of Olii, Kitty and Isabelle. We strongly believe that we set down the foundations for children to flourish for whatever comes next, but this is reinforced by such achievements. It is also worth noting that not all of these pupils were the highest performers academically in their year group, and even struggled in one or two areas of the curriculum.  The examples of these students remind us that education really is a journey and young people develop in fits and starts at times, and certainly at different rates.”
