Pupils from All Hallows school have been awarded 44 scholarships and awards to eight different secondary schools.

Of the 34 Year 8 children who applied to join secondary schools in the UK, 22 pupils were given an accolade, representing 65% of the year group.

Pupils were awarded scholarships to a variety of independent schools including Marlborough College, Sherborne School, Kingswood School, Prior Park College, Millfield School, Clifton College, Kings Bruton and Downside School. In total 44 awards were given including Academic, Sports, Creative design, Art, Music and All Rounder.

Head Dr Richards commented: “I am immensely proud of all our pupils, and am delighted to celebrate this incredible set of results. All Hallows is a non selective school and our Year 8 pupils go on to a range of state and independent schools. It is clear to us that the children thrive when their learning experiences are fuelled by a spirit of adventure, not just within the curriculum but far beyond. It is this contagious spirit and celebration of life, alongside the child’s evolving knowledge and growing wisdom that, we believe, will empower the individual child to make a confident and positive impact upon their life, as well as the lives of those within the wider community, both now and in the future.

“Our proudest achievement is always to help individuals to discover their own passions and interests that add a new dimension to their lives. Naturally high levels of academic performance are vitally important and we are very proud of a record that consistently sees over 60% our leavers win a scholarship or exhibition, while 100% regularly pass Common Entrance to the senior school of their choice.”
