All Hallows began its year of celebrating 80 years since its foundation with a party in the grounds of Cranmore Hall.

The school’s head, Dr Richards, welcomed past and present parents and members of staff into 4 teepees decorated with local flowers and foliage from the Forest School. Children at the school had also been busy making caterpillars and spiders to place around the venue made from conkers gathered from the grounds.

The guests were treated to a meal featuring a Somerset based menu including Somerset lamb and Somerset cheeses. Music was provided by the local band The Enrichments and by former pupil DJ Archie White.

The school has a history of celebrating its birthday going back to the time in 1938 when a sherry party was hosted in Bognor Regis. The idea of opening a new school was discussed with a few interested parents and friends and by the end of the evening. As the party was held on All Saints Day, the school was named All Hallows.

There will be a series of events for children, staff and to celebrate this great milestone as the year progresses forward.
