All Hallows Prep School has been shortlisted for the national Tes Creativity Awards 2019.

The school is the only one in the South West to have received this nomination.

At All Hallows, creativity is championed and celebrated from the moment children arrive in the morning. The school’s dedicated Creative Centre was recently opened to encourage a creative approach to education and life. Following the appointment of a new Head of Art in September 2017, the department leapt into a new creative direction involving collaborative projects that were innovative, cross-curricular, child-led, teacher-inspired and community focussed.

Further CDT facilities encourage pupils to immerse themselves in an increasingly technological world; a flexible scheme of learning helps to develop knowledge, understanding and skills whilst embracing opportunities to work with outside artists and organisations. Students photographers have undertaken a varied and diverse range of projects reflecting different influences and styles.

Ann Mroz, Tes editor, commented: “Independent education in this country is truly world class. It’s one of our great success stories. And those shortlisted for the Tes Independent School Awards are the crème de la crème. We received a record number of entries this year and the standard is the highest yet, so to be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement for any school.”

The winners will be revealed at a gala awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London in February.
