Aysgarth School New Headmaster Rob MorseAysgarth School, one of the leading boys’ Prep Schools in the country, is delighted to welcome Rob Morse as its new Headmaster. He succeeds Anthony Goddard who, along with his wife Caroline, retired in July this year.

Rob Morse, prior to his appointment at Aysgarth, was Headmaster at Perrott Hill Preparatory School in Somerset and before this held the post of Deputy Head and Housemaster at St. Anselm’s, Derbyshire. The early stages of his career were spent at Bedford School (HMC) and at Mount House School in Devon. He was educated at Truro School and holds a B.Ed. (Hons) Physical Education & Humanities degree from De Montfort University.

Rob is married to Lottie and has two children; Daisy and Harry. In addition to his role of Headmaster, Rob will be teaching Geography and Games. He will also be responsible for communications with both Senior and Preparatory Schools.

His wife Lottie is also a teacher. Following her Fine Art Degree, Lottie began her career at Bedford Modern School where she held the post of Artist in Residence. Lottie has taught across the age range from 5-year-olds through to 18-year-olds and across the full range of subjects. She holds a P.G.C.E from Homerton College, Cambridge.

At Aysgarth, Lottie will be teaching a number of subjects but also involved heavily involved in pastoral and boarding co-ordination.

On starting at Aysgarth, Rob Morse said:

It is a happy community that embraces every type of boy, whatever his passions and interests. I feel very honoured to be Aysgarth’s next Headmaster and working alongside its wonderful team of dedicated staff.

“Lottie, Daisy, Harry and I, along with our labradors are also extremely excited by our move to Yorkshire. It is such a beautiful county and we are looking forward to exploring all it has to offer.”

Welcoming the Morses, the Chairman of Governors, Mark Stroyan, said:
