Barlborough Hall School pupils at Charity Pancake Day! Pupils at Barlborough Hall School made sure Pancake Day didn’t fall flat by racing to raise money for charity.

Youngsters at the Derbyshire school took part in a playground pancake relay on Shrove Tuesday in aid of the Hallam Diocese, as part of its Good Shepherd fundraising week.

Teachers were on hand to cook and sell the pancakes to Foundation Stage and Key Stage One children, and their parents, raising almost £100 for the catholic charity which supports vulnerable people around the region.

Helen McLoughlin, Year 2 Form Teacher, said: “The pancake relay was great fun and a big success! It was a wonderful way to celebrate Shrove Tuesday and we were really pleased it raised a substantial total for the charity as part of our annual Good Shepherd fundraising week.”

Barlborough Hall School’s next Open Day event is on Saturday, March 10 and includes breakfast, lunch, and introduction by staff and Year 6 pupils followed by a question and answer session and a tour of the school.
