Podcasts on Apple products by Bedales student Kadian Harding have launched on the iTunes Store.

Starting in June 2011, the then 13-year-old Kadian Harding published 17 Apple product podcasts on YouTube. His review of the iPhone 4s has received over 4500 views. His predictions on the iPhone 5 – made five months before the phone’s launch – turned out to be exactly right. Kadian’s new iTunes site contains podcasts, stop motion videos and movies produced by Kadian over the past three years.

Kadian RespectAubrey Ghose, CEO aisBrandLab and Bedales parent who facilitated this project said: “Kadian’s iPhone 5 predictions showcase his remarkable intellect, in that he managed to decode Apple’s closely guarded new product development and nomenclature principles, to the extent that he accurately predicted outcomes, now proven with the launch of the iPhone 5. And let’s be clear, that proves that, at 14, Kadian managed to see into the minds of highly talented design and marketing professionals behind one of the greatest brands on the planet.

Recognising Kadian’s unique talent, Apple has taken the unprecedented step of creating a portal dedicated to his work on their iTunes Store global website. We can only wonder what Kadian would have contributed, had he been given more time with us. Such an individual flair for design and communications has never been so clear to me."

Kadian attended Bedales School in Steep, Hampshire for one year, from September 2011 to July 2012. On 25 July 2012, at the age of 14, Kadian was killed when his brakes failed and he was hit by a truck while riding his bicycle near Marlborough in Wiltshire.
Kadian’s parents Debora and Thomas Harding said: "When we watched these videos after his death we were deeply moved to see all the characteristics of the Kadian that we knew and loved: his charm, his entrepreneurship, his intelligence, and his ability to relate to others. We are very thankful to Apple for their generosity in creating this tribute to Kadian’s energy and talent.”

There will be a Celebration of the Life of Kadian Harding at Bedales School on Sunday 14 October at 5pm. Keith Budge, Headmaster Bedales Schools commented: “After just one year at the school, Kadian was already well known as an impressive contributor to school life, demonstrating inquisitiveness and an enthusiasm for learning, exemplified through his interest and passion for Apple developments. Kadian was a delightful young man with great potential: he will be hugely missed.”
