Bedales Block 4 student (year 10), Emily Swettenham, received an award from Marwell for her entry in a photography competition that received over 1500 submissions.

Entitled, ‘Marwell Wildlife Residents’, the brief was to capture a striking image of one of the animals at Marwell. Emily’s photograph of a giraffe’s silhouette was awarded in the junior category.

The photos were judged by a panel of experts including wildlife television producer Philippa Forrester and award-winning wildlife photographer and author Heather Angel.

Emily received a family day pass to Marwell Wildlife along with an official A3 print of her image. As runner-up in her category, Emily’s print, along with the other finalists, will be on display at Marwell at the end of the year.
