Bethany School Get Up close and Personal with the Big Cats!

The Wildlife Heritage Foundation (WHF) is concerned with the conservation and protection of endangered big cats Bethany School Big cats WHFboth in captivity and in the wild.

The breeding centre on Headcorn Road, Smarden, Kent has 13 species including Sumatran Tigers, Amur Leopards, Snow Leopards, Cheetah and Amur Tigers.

The centre is not open to the general public but can be visited on one of their specialist experiences: Photographic Workshops, Ranger for the Day, Big Cat Encounters and adoptions of one of their 50 cats.

One recent visit to the site was from Bethany School, Curtisden Green, Goudhurst, Kent. The School attended WHF’s new school photographic workshop experience.

Professional photographer Andy Porter spent the first part of the day describing the tricks of the trade before allowing the pupils up close to the Park’s impressive collection of animals.

The images captured by the group were outstanding and will give their coursework a unique dimension for their assessment next year.
