Bethany pupils are celebrating another strong batch of GCSE results which once again puts them comfortably above the national picture. Our hard working pupils have achieved the highest ever proportion of A* and A grades.

Twins Hannah and Ruth Marsden from Tenterden obtained 18 A* and A grades between them. Other high performing pupils included netball star Amy Tucker, budding director Jack Wood both from Tunbridge Wells, imaginative artist Nicholas Brockwell, accomplished singer and pianist Alexander Fuller from Tenterden, talented actor Brendton Theunissen from Etchingham and all-rounder Jack Whitaker from Tonbridge.

Francie Healy, Headmaster said…
I am delighted with the record breaking achievements of our high performing pupils. I am equally impressed with the diligence and determination of those pupils whose sustained efforts have been rewarded with B and C grades at a time when it is increasingly difficult to secure them. At Bethany we believe in the education of the whole child both inside and outside the classroom. We look forward to pupils further developing the breadth of their talents as they embark on the sixth form courses."

Quotes from Parents and pupils…
Mr and Mrs Marsden from Tenterden said, “We are very proud of Ruth and Hannah, our thanks go out to Bethany for their support and gentle guidance and encouragement. They have nurtured both the academic and creative side of our girls and have brought out the best. Hannah has dyslexia and dyspraxia and she has achieved 8 A and A* grades and 2 B’s, which is an incredible result for someone who was really struggling at Junior School, we are also immensely proud of Ruth for achieving 10 A and A*’s.

Mr and Mrs Brett from Horsmonden said, “We are so happy with Amelia’s fantastic set of results, our congratulations go to Bethany for supporting her in her efforts to achieve such good grades”. Amelia said, “I am so happy with the help I received from my teachers and that my hard work paid off.”

Brendton Theunissen from Etchingham said, “I am amazed and delighted as I achieved much better results than I had expected.
