Bethany Pupils have yet again excelled at A level with a pass rate of over 99 %.
We are thrilled that their hard work has been rewarded and the vast majority of them will attend the Universities of their choice. This year’s destinations will include the following prestigious universities, University College London, Nottingham, Southampton and Birmingham.

Bethany Students happy with academic results! The range of results celebrated and University places secured reflect the breadth and variety of study at Bethany, a non selective school where all have the opportunity to take A levels that would be denied them elsewhere.

Congratulations to Charlotte Bainbridge from South London and Holly Heilbron-Eliades from Tunbridge Wells who each achieved 3 A* grades in the Arts whilst in the Sciences Andrew Lockwood, also from Tunbridge Wells, obtained straight A’s . Similarly impressive is Patrick Thompson from Horsmonden who completed an A Level in Physics in one year securing an A grade alongside his two other demanding subjects and gaining a place on the prestigious Physics with a European Language Course at the University of Nottingham.

Nicholas Palfrey, from Robertsbridge, has obtained a place at the world renowned Central St Martin’s Art College in London.

Francie Healy, Headmaster said…“I am delighted with each and every one of our pupils. They have all realised their full potential and their successes reflect their hard work as well as the outstanding teaching provided by our very dedicated staff.

The A*A B percentage has risen to over 61% which is our highest ever. We are extremely proud to continue the tradition of our pupils exceeding expectations. This has meant that the School has ranked highly in all value added analyses undertaken”.

Mrs Hirst – Mum of James Hirst from Benenden said, “James came from another Independent school for the 6th form at Bethany. He had already done one year of 6th form in his previous school but things did not work out there. We have been very happy with Bethany as it allows people to be individuals and guides them with a soft hand in the right direction; their flexibility is their key to success. James is delighted to be going on to read History at the University of his choice.”
