Students from Bethany School, Curtisden Green near Goudhurst took to the stage this week for three sell-out 
performances of the School’s musical production “We Will Rock You”, which features songs from the band Queen.
The 70 strong cast from Year 7 right through to 13, performed at School in the Assembly Hall which had seen a complete transformation into a rock venue.
Sarah Boyle, Bethany’s Head of Drama said, “I am immensely proud of our talented cast. They successfully juggled their school work with lengthy rehearsals many of which have been over weekends. It is a technically challenging show with complex choreography so we enlisted the help of a dance specialist to aid this. We also worked with an external lighting and sound specialists which has led to a visually spectacular show. I can honestly say this is our best ever production. Well done to one and all.”
Gareth Stubberfield, the School’s Director of Music, said ““Our soloists have learnt their parts with enthusiasm and energy, expertly prepared by our resident musical animateur, Suzy Johnson.
One member of the audience said, “My wife and I saw the West End version before Christmas and the Bethany School production was just as enjoyable.”
