ANOTHER TOP PERFORMANCE BY  STUDENTS

Pupils at Bishop's Stortford College have once again bucked national trends, achieving excellent A level results this week. 22% of all A level grades were awarded the elusive A* grade with 10 students gaining 3 or more A* grades and a total of 21 students gaining 2A* and 1A grade or better.

All six of the College’s Oxbridge candidates have fulfilled their required offers and the vast majority of the whole year group is celebrating achieving the grades needed to take up their chosen courses at university.

59% of all exams taken were awarded A*-A, whilst 81% were graded A*-B and 92% were A*-C.

College Headmaster Jeremy Gladwin said: "I am delighted that, once again, our pupils have exceeded expectations and these superb results reflect not only the talents and hard work of the students, but also the outstanding teaching and support they have received. The College is a very special community of inspiring role models, whose enthusiasm, knowledge and dedication is infectious! Every day I see pupils encouraged and enabled to go beyond their expectations and achieve the extraordinary, not only in their academic studies, but, also, in the many other opportunities and endeavours they take on at the College. It is wonderful to see all this culminating in yet another excellent set of A level results and confirmed university offers. Congratulations to all our pupils and their teachers.”
