Bishop’s Stortford College has been named as one of the best Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) centres in Hertfordshire.

The college has the highest completion rate, number of awards and enrolments of any independent school in the Broxbourne, East Herts and Welwyn/Hatfield quadrant.

This follows the news that 23 pupils from the college have been invited to Buckingham Palace to receive their Gold Awards next month.

Gill Lynch, DofE co-ordinator at the college, commented: “I’m delighted with our highest ever completion rate of 88%. Undertaking the DofE Award is a challenge requiring commitment and determination but it is one that has been embraced wholeheartedly by college pupils. I’m incredibly proud of their success, both personally, and across the county.”
