Bishop’s Stortford College’s U13 boys’ hockey team recently took top spot at the Hertfordshire County Championship.

The team won all of their fixtures at the tournament hosted by Oaklands College against Haberdashers’ Aske’s, Aldenham, Watford, St Albans and Hitchin. The final against Merchant Taylor’s saw two undefeated teams face each other, with Bishop’s Stortford recording an impressive 2-1 victory to clinch the championship.

Nick Prowse, head of prep school hockey, said: “I am very proud of how much the boys have achieved and how far they have come. They played incredibly well against strong teams, scoring 30 goals during the course of the tournament.”

The U13’s success follows that of the U16 team who won their age equivalent of the Hertfordshire Championship and finished third at the National Indoor Hockey Finals earlier this month at Whitgift School.
