A Bishop’s Stortford College pupil has been impressing coaches as part of the London Pulse U17 netball squad.

Alex Povey was selected to join the team in November last year after she was put forward by her former team, Crosskeys Club.

Following an intense trial, she was chosen as one of 20 players to join up with the squad and has gone from strength to strength, attending weekly training sessions in Kensington.

Melanie Boulton, Hertfordshire county coach and talent scout for England Netball, said: “Alex has achieved so much in such a short time. As an U15 she is one of the youngest members of her academy. We wish her further success in her quest to join the U17/U19 Elite squads and hope to see her selected to attend the England Roses Academy in the future.”
