Bournemouth Collegiate Sixth form students welcomed Joanne Kane from Trailblazers coaching and Bournemouth Collegiate success in lifeconsulting company.

There was complete silence in the room as Joanne quickly grabbed the students’ attention as she talk to them about 7 fundamental principles for success in life.

She enlightened them on the difference between leading an ordinary life and the possibilities of leading an extraordinary life.

Joanne gave an inspirational talk during which she spoke about not leaving success to chance and asked the students to think about what their own definition of success looks like.

She urged them to think about their beliefs in life and which beliefs might be limiting and which ones might be empowering. “Identify your limiting beliefs and change them,” she advised. She continued, “Find work that you enjoy and use your strengths, stop comparing yourselves to others, build your own self-worth based on your own definition of success, never be afraid to ask for help.” She finished by adding, ”Failure may happen but you can handle it!”

Year 12 student, Luca Mojasevic said, “It was a really thought provoking talk. It has made me realise that willing something to happen is not enough, you must take action too.”

Head of Sixth form, Maria Coulter, said, “It was a truly inspirational and reflective experience today that every 6th former should go through.”

Joanne added, “Most of the work that I normally do is in the corporate world so it was a great opportunity to be able to share the fundamental principles for success with the sixth formers today – principles that most people only find out much later on in life.”
