For the second year running, Bromsgrove School U16 Rugby Team has triumphed in the North Midlands Cup.
Following a victory of 12-7 in difficult conditions in the semi-final against King Edward’s School on Monday, the U16s went on to defeat Bishop Hereford 10-5 in the final on Wednesday. The defence was outstanding throughout the match, led by fifteen year old Jamie Tweddell – playing a year above his age group. Elliott Davies scored the only try against his former school with William Hunt converting. William later secured the victory with an impressive 45 metre penalty kick in the dying minutes of the game.
