Twelve year old Bromsgrove Preparatory School pupil Abigail Saker has qualified to represent the West Midlands at the GB National Triathlon Championships in September.
Only two girls from each of the nine England regions plus Scotland and Wales are selected to compete in the prestigious championships. Abigail earned her place following success at the SuperTri Children’s Open Water Triathlon at Eton Dorney, where the Olympic rowing competitions will take place. She had a fantastic race and won by an impressive nineteen seconds, a time that would have placed her third out of a hundred competitors had she been racing against the boys.
